Protecting Our Charm One Road at a Time

At the October 6th, 2022 meeting, the Board of Selectmen voted to schedule a Public Hearing and Town Meeting for the discussion and vote on the adoption of 6 new Scenic Roads.

The Scenic Road Ordinance is designed to protect certain roads from alterations that negatively impact the charming and historical character that Ridgefield residents and visitors cherish. Adopting a private road as scenic allows the Town to provide scheduled maintenance and paving to reinforce safe conditions while preserving the road’s scenic and rural attributes.
