To get a DMV release so you may register, all motor vehicle tax bills must be paid in full with cash, money order or a bank check.  Please note that any other form of payment including payments made online will result in a 10 business day waiting period before a DMV release will be processed.

Please Note: It is the responsibility of the property owner to contact the Tax Collector’s office if you have not received a tax bill. According to State Statutes, failure to receive a tax bill does not remove the obligation to remit taxes and the accrued interest charges.  If you have paid off your mortgage or resume paying your own taxes please contact the Tax Collector's office at 203-431-2779 to obtain a bill.
