RIDGEFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT

CLOSED Position: Police Officer – The Ridgefield Police Department is accepting applications from both entry level and Connecticut POSTC certified police officers for the position of Police Officer.

Description: Applicants must be eligible to meet all requirements established by POSTC and the Ridgefield Police Department.

Salary/Benefits: Salary $72,174 to $105,761 (Top step July 2023). 13 paid holidays, Defined Contribution Retirement Plan, Paid Vacation Days, Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Shift Differential, Tuition Assistance.

Selection Process: The selection process will include, at minimum, successful completion of:

  • Written Examination
  • Oral Board Examination
  • Police Commission Oral Board Interview
  • CHIP card – Physical ability assessment
  • Polygraph Examination
  • Psychological Assessment
  • Medical Examination/Drug Screening, Stress Test, Eye Exam
  • Extensive Background Investigation
