Town Clerk

The Town Clerk's Office is responsible for a variety of functions in the Town of Ridgefield.  Please use our menu links to learn more about each type of service.  A brief synopsis of each function is provided below:

Land Records

All of the land records including deeds, mortgages and survey maps.

Vital Records

Maintaining Vital Records such as Birth, Death, Marriage and Civil Union records.

Licensing

We issue a variety of licenses. Dog & Kennel Licenses and Fish & Game Licenses.

Meeting Documentation

We manage agendas of all boards and commissions and minutes of town meetings are maintained in our office.

Business Certificates and Licensing

Trade Names Certificates for businesses doing business in the Town of Ridgefield are filed in our office.

Elections & Voting

The Town Clerk has many responsibilities in adminstering Elections. Among these are: Issuing, mailing and recording Absentee Ballots; Nominating Petitions; Candidate Certifications; Campaign Financing; Preparing Ballots; Publication of Election notices and the preparation and verification of various election reports.
