Please note: Due to Town Hall being closed to the public during COVID-19 pandemic, and renewal of Transfer Station Permits is not possible, display of Permits when using the Dump or Recycling Center is
not required at this time.
Payments for items disposed of at either location is still required as usual.
The Transfer Station accepts credit cards only for entry; no cash is accepted.
All vehicles wishing to enter and use the Transfer Station must have a current permit. Permits are obtained at the Town Hall Tax Collector's Office located at 400 Main Street during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.) Applications can be mailed along with payment and proof of residency to the Tax Collector's Office, 400 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Click here for an application.
The permit fee is $20 for residents and $40 for non-residents and is valid from July 1 through June 30 of the following year. New permits must be purchased each fiscal year (Cash or Checks only). Please bring your proof of residency to the Town Hall Tax Collector's Office any day Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. No application is needed when coming in to Town Hall for your permit. Call (203) 431-2779 with questions.
