  • CoA meetings are conducted under Robert’s Rules of Order. All participants are expected to conduct themselves with dignity and treat all those present with respect, empathy, and fairness. Debates are to remain respectful, and civility must prevail. Individuals will be recognized for 3 minutes after CoA discussion but before a CoA vote. All items on the agenda are presented as possible action items (i.e. vote) by the CoA.  Those requiring special accommodations for this meeting, including a hearing assistance device, are asked to contact the First Selectperson’s Office at 203-431-2774 or [email protected].

i.

Collaborate with Fire Department (FD) to distribute File of Life to requesting residents, explore ways CoA can assist FD in creating awareness of and participation in FD’s safety initiatives, and invite Fire Chief to present at a 2024 Senior Voices forum.

Write to SB to express support for a cost-of-living adjustment for all elderly-related tax credits, tax deferments and renter abatements and offer to engage in primary research needed and appear before the SB in further support. Report: Completed
