Water Treatment Wastewater (i.e. Water Softener water discharge) Permit and Fee effective as of January 1, 2020

Effective January 1, 2020, Water Treatment Wastewater (Water Softener water discharge) Permits are required in the Town of Ridgefield CT. The fee is $200.
You can apply online using the same methodology as for a Septic permit. Required documents to upload are the Septic application and Proposed Location plan.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health Technical Standards for Subsurface Sewage Disposal System was revised January 1, 2018 with regards to Water Treatment Wastewater (WTW) and WTW Dispersal Systems. The link is here.
