MEETING TO ORDER
Raje made a motion to call the meeting to order. Mike seconded. The meeting was called to order at 7:06pm.
MINUTES
Jennifer made a motion to approve the November 2023 Minutes. Mike seconded. All approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT
● No changes reported since November 2023.
● Balances were shared for both accounts.
● A final ledger for the 2023 CT Humanities Grant has been prepared and a plan for final grant reporting was discussed.
● The council discussed final spending plans for the remaining balance and allocation of the balance towards Q1 2024 brochures was discussed.
● Jennifer made a motion to approve the allocation of the CT Humanities Grant towards Q1 2024 brochure printing. Raje seconded the motion. All approved.
● A go-forward plan for account usage was discussed.
Old Business
Group Updates as needed
Banners
● The Council discussed organizations who will and won’t be participating in the banner program in 2024.
● There has been positive feedback on fabric banners vs vinyl.
● The Council discussed the ongoing need to ensure legibility and clarity of banners. The Council will collaborate on a best practices communication to be shared in early 2024.
ArtsWatch Column
● The December column has been submitted for publication.
● The Council discussed the format of the column.
EDR
● The final EDR of 2023 is on Friday, December 8th.
● The Council discussed items to be discussed at the upcoming meeting.
RAC Scholarship
● A scholarship fundraising event will be held on March 21st, at the Lantern.
RAC 24-25 Budget Request Review
● The Council confirmed that the budget request has been submitted.
New Business
High School Auditorium
● The Council discussed the ongoing conversations regarding the state of the Ridgefield High School Auditorium and potential plans to renovate the space.
● The Council discussed the auditorium’s inclusion in the Five-Year Capital Plan as well as a written letter in support of the project’s inclusion in the plan.
● Josh made a motion to submit an RAC sponsored letter of support for the plan. Pamme seconded. Amy and Josh recused themselves. All others approved.
ADJOURNMENT
● The meeting was adjourned at 8:37pm following a motion made by Mike and seconded by Raje. All approved.
