Special Town Meeting

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING TOWN OF RIDGEFIELD, CONNECTICUT
MARCH 3, 2021

Electors and persons qualified to vote at Town Meetings of the Town of Ridgefield are hereby duly notified and warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held on March 3, 2021 at 7:30 P.M. (E.D.T.) at The Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge, Ridgefield, Connecticut, for the following purposes:

1. Enact State Statue 7-191b “Amendments to charters to modify budget adoption dates”, and to vary the Ridgefield Town Charter Sections 3-3 and 10-1(d). This variance is being requested for the FY2022 Annual Town Budget meeting only.
2. To set a new Annual Town Budget Meeting Date of, April 24th, 2021 from original date of May 3rd, 2021, allowing more time for absentee voting for the Budget Referendum on May 11th, 2021. This meeting shall take place outdoors under a tent at the Ridgefield Playhouse per Covid Guidelines. This meeting on April 24th, 2021 shall take place from 3pm-5pm.

How to participate in March 3rd, 2021 Special Town Meeting:

• In person Attendance (100 person maximun) inside at the Ridgefield Playhouse
• Attend Virtually by registering in advance at the below link: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_sScX5KjlRxqzyaqQfgoXsg  
  Anyone who wishes to vote via zoom will need to call the Registrar’s office at 203-431- 2771 to provide his or her name, address and phone number no later than Tuesday March 2, 2021, for elector verification.
