How can I support my child and other children in the community to be healthy and resilient?

That is a good question and thank you for asking!

Of course there is no one thing you can do.  When adults in a child's life show interest and caring, and spend time listening and talking to youth, it improves the lives of both the youth and the adult. The Search Institute, a well regarded research organization,  has identified the  building blocks of healthy development—known as Developmental Assets—that help young children grow up healthy, caring, and responsible. Take a look at the assets list, and consider ways that you can build assets in your own children and in the community. Any ideas for the community?  RCCASA would love to hear them!
