Department Responsibilities:
- Highway Department -- Is reponsible for the maintenance and repair of all Town roads. The Highway Department is located at 60 South Street. Hours of operation is Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The telephone number is: 203-431-2748.
Transfer Station -- Ridgefield Transfer Station is located at 55 South Street. Opens Monday - Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. a Transfer Station and Recycling Permit is required.
- Recycling Center -- Ridgefield Recycling Center is located at 55 South Street. Opens Tuesday - Saturday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. A Transfer Station and Recycling Permit is required.
Questions about State Roads -- click on this link for a list of State Roads -- call the State Department of Transportation (DOT) at (203) 797-4157 for questions or repair requests. The DOT is responsible for the maintenance of these roads and sidewalks as well as trees in their right-of-way.
