Board of Finance Members
The Board of Finance is comprised of five elected officials.
David F. Ulmer, Chairman

Dave Ulmer, Chairman, is an active member of Ridgefield's Board of Finance. He was elected in November 2003. David is a Vice President Planning, for JetBlue Airways in their Financial and Planning office in Darien. He brings to the board 30 years of experience in the airline industry. He also has consulting experience and expert economic testimony in administrative law proceedings, bankruptcy court hearings and depositions in civil litigation. David has a BA from Bradley University, Illinois where he graduated magna cum laude, a MA from the Denver University Graduate School of International Studies. All PHD requirements except thesis, Denver Colorado.
In addition to the Board of Finance, David is serving as President of the Wolfpit Running Club.
David was born in Wisconsin, attended grade and high school in Illinois. He has lived in Ridgefield since 1999, is a widower and has four adult stepchildren.

Paul Sutherland, Vice Chairman, has been a Ridgefield resident since 2001. He was elected to the Board of Finance in 2011. Previously, he served a 4-year term on the Board of Education. Paul has 35 years of corporate finance experience, including having spent over 20 years with FPL Group and its principal operating subsidiary, Florida Power and Light Company. He worked in budgeting, accounting, financial systems and corporate finance, holding positions of Assistant Treasurer of both FPL Group and its utility subsidiary, and Director of Finance for FPL's Energy Marketing & Trading Division.
Paul has an engineering degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has three children, all of whom are graduates of Ridgefield High School.

Marty Heiser, has been an active member of Ridgefield's Board of Finance for over 7 years. Mr. Heiser is the owner of Service Unlimited and has been a Ridgefield resident for over 12 years. He has been a Town Volunteer
with the Republican Town Committee and has served as Treasurer.
Mr. Heiser has also volunteered and coached Ridgefield Junior Hockey. Mr. Heiser and his wife, Caroline have 3 children.
