Selectman Andrew Bodner
Andrew Bodner is President of Oxford Penacook Investments, Inc. a partner in a variety of businesses principally in the energy and transportation industries. Included is the operation of ten hydroelectric generating facilities located in the Northeast that annually produce more than 125 million kilowatts of electricity. He is also the owner of the Ridgefield Athletic Club, which is an indoor/outdoor tennis facility located on Route 7.
Mr. Bodner was the co-founder of a publicly traded alternative energy company that developed, acquired, owned and operated resource recovery and other power generation facilities that utilized waste fuels or renewable resources to generate electricity, and was a partner in a business that operated dry-bulk freighters in the U.S. Gulf/Central and South America regions.
Mr. Bodner graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a major in Economics with Distinction. He attended Graduate school in Economics at Princeton University, and earned a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Chicago with a Specialization in Finance and Concentration in Accounting.
A Ridgefield resident since 1992, Mr. Bodner was formerly Vice Chairman of the Board of Finance, and a member of the Ridgefield Deer Committee. He is also the Secretary and former Treasurer of the Ridgefield Republican Town Committee, and a member of the Ridgefield Rotary Club. He is married to Nina, a Senior Attorney with Cravath Swaine & Moore, and the father of five children and four step-children, all in the Ridgefield Public School System.
