Aquatics

The Ridgefield Parks & Recreation Center offers a wide variety of Aquatic programs.  Our pool is equipped with a monitored slide, lap lanes, and a zero-entry swimming pool for the younger children.  Sign up yourself or your child for swimming lessons, aquatic exercise classes or just swim laps for a great workout.

Triathlon Advantage
Whether you are seasoned triathlete or a novice, this four week course will give you the tools that you will need to take your training to the next level.  Improve your swim, SPIN®, and strength in order to gain an advantage over the competition.
 This class meets three times a week: Monday in the SPIN® room, Wednesday in the gym for TRX, and Friday in the pool.

Swim Endurance Training
You already know how to swim, but do you know how to increase your endurance or use it to your advantage?  Swim with a trained instructor who will help you keep on task.  By incorporating drills in your swim workout, you will increase your strength, endurance, and swim technique.  You will also improve your breathing and body positioning giving you the ultimate total body workout.

January 5 - March 15 (no classes 1/16, 2/20)

Fitness Swimmer
Are you tired of your regular humdrum swim routine?  Change it up and maximize your fitness goals.  Students (ages 12 years or over) will learn how to: use a pace clock, make proper turns, incorporate interval training, and learn different drills.  The Cooper 12-Minute Swimming Test will be used to identify each student's fitness level at the beginning of the course and at the end so students can compare their results.
