The Human Resources Department is responsible for the administration of the personnel activities of the Town's 250+ full time and part time employees, including the following functions:
- Recruitment of new employees
Administration of employee benefit programs
Negotiation and Administration of the provisions of the police, fire, highway and service employees international union contracts
Tracking of workers' compensation claims
Administration of pension plans
Establishing, and updating as required, salary structures for all non-union positions
Administering performance evaluation programs
